Asia imports many things into the United States: Toys, Cars...robots. However one of their most valuable commodities is hot women. Holding about 1/4th of the world's population, there is no shortage either. The thing is, crossing oceans to prove yourself in the US film industry however, is no easy task.
With that in mind, here are five Asian imports who have made a name for themselves, in Hollywood:
Michelle Yeoh - Possibly the most well known Asian actress. She had been known to fans for years, appearing along side Jackie Chan in his movies, but after her performances in The World is Not Enough and Crouching Tiger, she's cemented her place in American Cinema.
Lucy Liu - The only american born asian woman on this list. Fluent in bot mandarin and english, Liu took the world by storm after landing a role in Charlie's angels. After the intense Kill Bill movies, she's been incredibly low-key.
Zhang Ziyi - was first recognized for her work in Rush Hour 2. Made a name for herself in "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon." Found herself with steady work until she changed her name to the English standard. (Xhang Ziyi --> Ziyi Zhang.) She probably got banned from China for that.
Li Gong - Made a name for herself with the very underrated "Curse of the Golden Flower." Since then, she's been around but more or less acting in the movies of her homeland.
Bai Ling - Sultry, sexy Asian woman with a wide smile. She usually cast as the crazy sexy woman or as a sexy assassin. I don't see anything wrong with that.
