The Situation:
Here one min, gone the next, the bulk of humanity is raptured and many are left below. In addition to the locusts, falling rocks and wraiths, the rapture has also seen the rise of the anti-christ, a Seattle born politician named Earl, who calls himself The Beast
The Beast has big plans for reshaping the world, but falls for the adorkably innocent, girl next door, Kendrick. After learning she's a virgin, he sets out to do damage to her various orifices and plant his demon seeds, firmly establishing his empire.
The Resolution:
The Beast is defeated, and peace returns to the land, but someone is pregnant...

Rapture-palooza came out around the same time as This is the End, the other rapture based movie, also starring Craig Robinson. I saw the trailers, read about it, did all that jazz, but I wasn't too enthused. I finally say down to watch it the other day and quite honestly, I enjoyed it.
The Beast is a legitimate beastly character. He wants what he wants and he's not shy or subtle about it and some of the best parts of the movie were his advances towards Anna Kendrick. Every other character played their role well and you can guess my surprise at finding my guy, Tyler Labine as one of the Beasts' guards.
Needless to say, Rapture-Palooza is not as good as This is the End, but they really can't be compared. On top of everything, the title is "Rapture-Palooza." You kinda know what you're getting into.
