College students and best friends Ginger Matheson, Jim Duncan, and Kyle "Dixie" Canning, pool their cash to buy a "ghost" in an online auction. The three think it's all a goof, but once they open up the antique box to examine their "treasure," they unleash the vengeful spirit of an Irish servant girl who has been wreaking havoc on her owners throughout the generations.
Dean Cain opens this film by watching his wife being killed by some malevolent force. About a year later, a mysterious box appears online for sale. The listing claims it contains a ghost. Intrigued, the box is purchased by three college bffs. Opening the box, they and finds it contains the spirit of an abused and unwanted ghost who kills anyone that comes between her family. Once you own the box, you are her family.
They spend the rest of the movie trying to contract the seller and trying to break the curse.
Of course the curse isn't broken before the negro friend eats it, but that's the nature of these films.
Ah well. I Thought he'd be light enough to survive.
