***Welcome to Steven Seagal Week! This week we will honor the "action star" by reviewing a few of his movies since his return to cinema. Today's Feature: The Keeper ***
bodyguard work.
Until the kidnappers finally move again, (nearly an 1 1/2 hrs later) you just want them to take the girl and get it over with. When they finally get her, you know Seagal is coming, and the action is coming with him.
The action finally picks up (albeit very slowly) as he begins to look for her. Necks are broken, people are shot, evil is conquered. He fulfills his duty, gets the girl back and all's right with the world. (Yay. Finally.)
The Keeper is unnecessarily long and boring. I found my mind wandering a lot, waiting for the movie to get good and/or action packed. Drunk or sober, I definitely wouldn't recommend this one.
Violence? 3 shotgun kills in the first 5mins. alone. Then for a long time, nothing. Picks up later, but by then you won't care.
Explosions? No
Nudity? One titty scene. Just one.
