Steven Seagal: Lawman

***This is the end of Steven Seagal Week! We had a lot of fun this week and today, we'll end the party with the TV Series, Steven Seagal: Lawman ***

The basic premise of this show is Cops + Steven Seagal = Awesome. (img via-A&E)

Steven Seagal was one of the most popular action stars of the late 80s/early 90s. For "various" reasons, he dropped off the face of the earth and we hadn't heard from him outside of a few Bullshit movies. It turns out that for nearly 20yrs. he is/was a fucking police officer in the town of Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana. A&E somehow realized how awesome this was, and convinced him to allow us to experience this awesome concept.

From the official Press Release:
Until now, Seagal has never sought attention for his work with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. However, over a span of almost two decades, he has regularly gone out on patrol and worked major cases. Each thirty-minute episode will allow fans to ride shotgun with Seagal as he and his hand-selected elite team of deputies respond to crimes-in-progress. Then, when Seagal goes off-duty, the cameras will continue following him as he pursues his many ventures - including musical performances and philanthropic efforts - in Jefferson Parish and New Orleans.

The show is pretty straightforward, but its the aspects of his  life that kept me tuning in. In one season we learn that not only is he an officer, his official title is "Deputy Reserve Chief." He's also a trainer of German Shepards, and apparently a master marksman. Whaaaat?

Steven Segal: Lawman, is a very subdued, yet semi-ridiculous, show. But its both fun and entertaining. You can tell that the interactions between Seagal, his staff, the criminals, and the civilians are all genuine and if you like Cops and or if you like Steven Segal, I definitely recommend you watch this series.

Honestly, I have no idea why I even have to try to sell you this series. Steven. Seagal. Is. A. Cop.

Violence? About the same amount you'd see on Cops
Explosions? No. Shit hasn't gotten that real.
Nudity? Nope.

Also, any Steven Seagal news gives me an excuse to post this:
