Plot:
On an island off the coast of North America, local residents simultaneously fight a zombie epidemic while hoping for a cure to return their un-dead relatives back to their human state.
Survival of the dead is/was a terrible movie and there's no redeeming quality whatsoever. The plot is thin, the characterization is terrible and the zombies are beyond boring. I fell asleep multiple times during the flick and I still have no idea what happened or what was going on.
Every time I watch a George Romero film that isn't Dawn of the Dead, I wonder what it was/is that gets people so excited about his work. Maybe its time we stopped encouraging him?
If I hadn't suffered through it already, I'd definitely skip this one, and pretend I had never heard of it. You should do the same.
Violence? Yes
Explosions? One
Nudity? Nope
