The 2003 Ninja Turtles find their 1987 originals captured and held hostage by Hun. The 2003 Turtles defeat Hun, and the Purple Dragons and rescue their classic originals and escape to the modern Turtles' Lair. Meanwhile, the Technodrome from the 1987 TV series along with Shredder, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady are together again and fight both versions of the turtles. Meanwhile the classic Shredder, transports the Utrom Shredder back from the ice asteroid that he was sent to after the "Exodus" episode.
For some odd reason, people seem to not know about this turtle film. It isn't even discussed. Maybe it's a rights issue, but that fucking sucks. TMNT:Turtles Forever, is one of the best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle films in existence. They even brought back Bebop and Rock-fucking-Steady!
It was great to see the turtles I grew up with in action again. As the movie traversed dimensions, I thoroughly enjoyed that the movie wasn't set in one universe. Each series' kept its own distinct animation in direct contrast to the styles of the turtles in the other dimensions. The animators deserve a reward for that.
Why is this not marketed? The image alone should give you chills.
Adding insult to injury, with the mistreatment of this film, rumor has it that there is an uncut version of this film in Europe, and there are no plans to release it in the United States. But you can catch it on YouTube, here.
