After saving a guy during his shift, at the hospital, Samuel returns home to find assassins have kidnapped his wife and given him 3 hours to release the guy or she'll be killed. In releasing the patient, a criminal named Sartet, he learns that the kidnappers are in his employ and he was on the run from assassins the night he was hospitalized. Samuel tries to trade Sartet for his wife but as he tries to make the swap, the would be assassins show up to finish the job. The police are hot on their trail as they manage to escape again only to find themselves involved in a deeper mystery and potential conspiracy.
Point Blank is a decent French action thriller that neither enhances nor ruins the genre. There are a few twists that do help to keep you interested, however. Some people have compared it to Taken. But...that's just dumb.
