They Live is an 80s Sci-Fi/Action flick about a guy who finds out that Aliens have taken over the planet. The Plot (via IMDB):
"Nada, a down-on-his-luck construction worker, discovers a pair of special sunglasses. Wearing them, he is able to see the world as it really is: people being bombarded by media and government with messages like "Stay Asleep", "No Imagination", "Submit to Authority". Even scarier is that he is able to see that some usually normal-looking people are in fact ugly aliens in charge of the massive campaign to keep humans subdued."
The movie stars former WWE superstar turned actor Rowdy Roddy Piper and (the very underrated) Keith David. It is one of the best known B movies in existence and it has reached cult favorite status for two reasons:
2) Possibly one of the most quoted movie lines in existence: "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum."
This movie also features --in my opinion--one of the most retarded lines exchanged on film:

Nada: I'm giving you a choice: either put on these glasses or start eatin' that trash can.
Frank: Not this year!

Anyway, They Live is classic cinema, and its worth a view or two if you've never seen it.
Definitely watch it with friends, as that makes an okay movie even better.
A remake (of course) has been announced and scheduled for release sometime in 2011.
Violence? Oh yeah. Glorious 80s B-Movie violence.
Explosions? Umm, yeah. What's an 80s movie w/o an explosion?
Nudity? Yep. But you gotta watch to the end. Consider it a reward.
